Logitech G9 replacement

Dear gentlemen, I am in dire need of your advice.

 

 

I have been a proud owner of Logitech G9 mouse since early 2008 and I have actually owned 3 of them during last 8 years... all of them have died due to extensive use at work and at home. I am an architect, so my work involves a lot of clicking and at home i am a proud gamer. My 3rd G9 mouse recently died, much like on the previous ones, i have managed to swipe my way through the cable itself and also, the cable has been bent and twisted so many times now, no wonder they all die. I have bought a replacement cable, but now it seems I have connection issues with the wheel itself as well. That may also be fixed and i will be set with the mouse itself for next 3 years.

 

I am tho, searching for a good replacement mouse.

 

What I desire:

* Infinity scroll middle mouse button (I use Autocad a lot and I have the scroll wheel set on free move by default)

* Good claw grip ergonomics (I have long and big fingers)

* I don't need 28 buttons please, just 5. (Left, middle, right and 2 on the side)

* Cable or wireless, makes little difference to me (I only really play Eve Online and strategy games, no CS or other FPS)

* Price is not really a problem, I am a power user and I am willing to pay extra for a good piece of hardware.

 

 

I have looked into G502 Proteus - imo, it's too narrow for my ring and pinky finger. Also, I have absolutely no need for a sniper button cmon.

I saw MX Master and it sorta works, but it's a big ass mouse, compared to G9. Probably more for palm grip as well.

I was looking into Razer options... no infinity scroll wheel.

I looked into G700 and honestly, build quality could be better and again, too many buttons that I will never need.

Availability of other mice to try in hand is sorta limited here (Slovenia), I could tho order it from somewhere else with no problem.

 

Probably the best replacement mouse for my G9 is another G9 itself. All the new mice i saw in the store look very spacey, if they do look solid, the build quality sucks (tbh, G9 makes all sorts of noises also, but overall, it's great) or it's really focused for FPS gamers or RPG gamers with 25 buttons on the side and obviously - no infinity scroll.

 

 

Getting all of my requests in one package is going to be hard, I realize that.

If you also used G9, please share what you replaced it with and you feel about the change.
