Hello, I don't know if someone has posted this before or not but this is really important so please help if you can.

I updated from windows 7 about 3 days back. Everything was fine, working perfectly for 2 days and then suddenly yesterday, when I switch on my computer one of my monitors is working fine but the other monitor is being detected as a 'Generic Non PnP Monitor' instead of recognising it properly (Benq XL2420T) and it's not even working at it's maximum resolution (it's a 1080p monitor working at 1024x768 with no option to increase it). And then I restart it thinking it might just be a glitch, but it decides not to switch on after that. The computer boots, it goes till the loading screen, but right after that the LEDs from both my mouse and keyboard switch off and the monitor switches off with the message 'No Signal Detected'.

I tried booting into safe mode but that only works without my mouse for some reason, so I open Device Manager to see if it's some driver issue, but it's not. Then I used the 'Reset Windows' option from the boot menu thingy, its did everything and reinstalled windows but I am still not able to boot into Windows. I know it reinstalled windows properly because when I tried to boot into safe mode again it gave me the entire 'Hi' 'Your files are where you left them' and all of that first boot welcome screen stuff.

There were some important documents I had been working on which I managed to recover but I would want to start using my computer again, what should I do? I have an assignment due so I am kind of in a hurry.

Is this a hardware problem with my GPU or my monitor? Or is it a Windows problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you :)

You can easily check if its a GPU issue by plugging the monitors into the mobo without the GPU.
