After having my loop running for quiet a while now, its time for me to do a monthly maintenance. I know one of them is to top up the coolant, but after watching a guide from newegg, the guy said to tighten the fittings every month. I never heard or read about this, so is it mecessary to tighten the fittings every month?

I would recommend it, because the tubing can 'shrink' and not be as tight as when you just installed it. Just tighten it to be sure. 5 minutes wont hurt you... Right?

Are you talking about compression fittings needing to be tightened?

Or the G1/4" thread into the blocks/radiators needing tightening?

Sorry to be so confusing.........But you answered the question I had for MontBlanco.

Even if Compression rings is what he is talking about (which is most likely).

How do you know that? I don't see where he mentions that, it is Compression fittings

he's talking about?

Well, he was refering to a Newegg video, and there was a guy (sorry, I forgot his name) he was saying that you should tighten your compression rings every month or so.

If the compression rings don't budge dont force it either as that could cause undue stress on the actual compression fitting thread of the watercooling componant.
