hey guys. okay so i have a 750w power supply now. 

im gonna get a modular one. and i also want cable mods. so im just wondering

wattage.

i have a i7-6700k

asus rog maximum viii forumla 

gtx 1080

12gb ram. 

im plans are to water cool aswell. 

so should i be aiming for like 1000w?

For 4 1080s 1000W would be the right wattage. One 1080 would be fine on a 450W....

 

Get an EVGA 650W G2 and that should satisfy your needs aplenty.

Yes. I have a GTX 970 and a 500w PSU is easily enough for it.

Yeah, 970s use next to no power for how much oomph they pack. You could run two 970s off a 550W if you so desired.

1070s consume even less power so building's going to be easy on the wattage this year.
