Hi

So I got my newly built rig beside me waiting for a first fresh install of Windows 10. While burning, for some reason its stuck to " Finalizing Disc " Stage. So should I cancel and try again? , wait for it to finish? ( its been 15 minutes. ) or remove the disc and install the OS?

Any help will be appriciated :))

How big is the windows 10 installation, as finalization has to check all the data put on the disc and takes a proportional time relative to it's size, I'd personally give it more time especially if the process took a while.

Aww. Dang. I already cancelled it then it wont  burn now. I need to buy a another DVD. It was 3.4 GB btw. So I've heard that 6th gen processors doesn't support windows 7 on a usb stick. What if I put Windows 10 in it instead? Will it still work?

You can put windows 7 on a usb, it just needs a little tweaking to get it too work due to usb protocol changes, your motherboard manufacturer should have info on this, but  windows 10 should work from usb just fine since it was made after these changes, assuming windows 10 is what you wanted to put on this pc.

One last thing. I just have to slap the .iso file directly to the USB right?
