i just bought a kingston 120 gb ssd for my hp 8460p and in hd tune pro its showing an error about downshift count and the write speed is not like what it should be although boot time has reduced significantly.

 

is that some kind of an error in the laptop, updating bios or should i get the ssd replaced ??

it's just fine for a UV300. 120gb version does have low IOPS(Input Output Per Second) rating than 240gb version.

The IOPS speed causing your speed to downshift I have added(See Below) your picture and highlighted the cause of this problem.

If you want faster than UV300 buy Corsair LE or ADATA SP550
