Chromium Source Code Questions

AlTech

Hi guys,

As you may or may not know I made a browser and is called Lithium C# Edition (formerly called Lithium).

I'm remaking it but in C++ based off of the Chromium Source Code.

But i'm having a few issues,

1. How do I actually build it without the depot tools. Windows Defender told me it was a virus.

2. What are the main bits I should keep to let it work properly (I wanna make it more lightweight).

3. How do I increase performance? Seriously, like a quad core i5 and 16GB RAM struggles with the Chromium Source Code Folder.

4. Can I make a Visual Studio solution for this and build it that way?

5. I want to post the forked version of Chromium on a GitHub repo to allow the rest of my team to work on it with me BUT I can't seem to do that.

It tells me that it has .git files inside of the folder but i'm positive I deleted most if not all of them.

6. Where did you learn how to modify the source code?

7. Any good places to learn how to do it (other than the Chromium website)?

Thanks a lot! :)
