First off i am planning to upgrade to a new CPU but i was wondering if it is worth buying a i5 4690K or just waiting a bit longer to save up for a i7 4790K or something like that my current core parts of my rig are:

CPU: AMD FX 8350 @ 4.0

GPU: Nvidia GTX 980ti EVGA SC

I would also wanna make the most of my GPU as it isn't using all of the power.

I use my PC for Gaming and some light video editing every now and again.

Any advise would be most great full

Personally, yes. Just because the bottleneck is real. What would you do with your old mobo. and CPU?

Rest of specs? And no... You just need a new Mobo and CPU and maybe RAM. If you want, you can get a new case and go to like MiniITX, now is the chance.

In that case, jump straight to skylake. Not much reason to invest into an older platform.

Get a 6600k and you'll be golden.

It's good enough of a difference to justify it. Besides, you get more features, better OCing and possibly even an upgrade path to a Kaby i7... maybe.
