Hello everyone, i'm looking for some help with my motherboard, the MSI z97 gaming 5. I was doing normal stuff, looking around my case, and figured i wanted to change a fan. I didn't want to wait for my computer to slowly go into shut down so i held the power off button, a usual hard shut down. It would be normal but this time a little blue light blinked around the CMOS battery... When i got back into my computer everything looks ok, but i think it may have reset my bios (luckily i don't overclock). If anyone has any extra tips for what this means please do comment below

Thanks everybody!

Try hopping into your BIOS and then do the same thing while watching the light. I'd wager that's normal behavior, but I've never used that motherboard. I have a friend with the same one, but he's currently got a really nasty motherboard rootkit infection... Honestly no idea how he managed it. Anyways, his board is down for a while so that's all I got.
