to match the speakers to the led

Didn't the video say he used the audio in on the Arduino?

Hello Guys some of you may have known i am working on an led project but I am having some problems with it. I am following this video

And I dont know how he contented the audio between the ardino and his main pc. I am thinking that if it is a 3.5 mm jack then wont your computer only output over that device? also do i then have to get a 2 way splitter and plug my 5.1 audio system into that. Also If i do that do i have to plug the main sorce into the splitter because there are three plugs that currently go into the back of my motherboard for my audio. Any help on this would be appreciated thanks :D

That is freakin' sweet.

I would assume that he is using the audio out from whatever DAC he's using and, like you said, a Y-splitter to each (speakers/ardino).  It would be a shame if he is using a 3.5mm, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I would assume yes, you would need a splitter.  There could be software, and some audio-outs can do multi-channel output of two different outputs, but that's usually hardware not software (i.e. use the headphone and L-R jacks at the same time).  But, again, that's all hardware.

Yea I assume hes using 3.5 mm and its hard for me to find a way that i can make the pc find the audio
