what is front side bus

It's for socket 775 and older days. Right now there is no front side bus. Higher the better, only the Extreme Edition QX9770 can run at 1600MHz. Rest are just 1333MHz.

that is the interconnect for your CPU to communicate with everything that is on the mainboard, it's located at the front side

yes the bus is formed on by the CPU side and the mainboard side, that spec pretty much states what speeds are supported on the mainboard side of the interconnect
