I have requested an RMA with Gigabyte for my failing GTX 970. It has been  buissness days and still no response. When they finally do respond I will be out of a GPU for at least a week and that won't work for me at all. Should I deal with it, or demand Gigabyte send a replacement before I send mine.

You'd probably have to send yours first before they RMAed you a working one.

A week? My 780 took a full month to get sorted. Twice. I'm jealous. I don't know about your local consumer law, but demanding a replacement before they are even able to inspect the RMA'd product may not be an option.

A week is very optimistic - expect it to take 3-4 weeks, sometimes more. Gigabyte are not good with Customer Support

You bought a Gigabyte, everyone buys a Gigabyte because they perform well but then bitches about being stuck like yourself. So you ether have to buy another graphics card, pay Gigabyte to loan you one, or wait.

Those are your options.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

So I can get a GPU temporarily from GIGABYTE. How do I do that?

For my motherboard it was 80us, half the value of the motherboard itself. If nothing turned out to be wrong you were out the 80 bucks and had to pay shipping to send it back.

And depending on your region you will be paying shipping, both ways for your graphics card to be inspected.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
