Hi guys.

I'm having a problem where my left shift will not work. I have tried updating my keyboard drivers. I've also tried turning on Mouse keys, Sticky keys, Toggle keys, Filter keys, underline keyboard shortcuts and access keys ond the last one Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.

I tried a "loss" keyboard and there my left shift worked fine.

My computer is a laptop Acer.

My harddisk have been changed about 4 times in 2-3 years because I broke it... I don't know what kind of harddisk there are in my laptop now sorry...

My left shift have work before! It was fine yesterday but today it dosen't work at all!

If you need more information about my computer just message me and I'll try to answer as good as i can :)

Please help me! I need my left shift to work when I play games and all that... I hope you can help me make my left shift work again.

Have a look at this: http://www.keyboardtester.com/tester.html

or this: http://unixpapa.com/js/testkey.html

or this: http://www.asquare.net/javascript/tests/KeyCode.html

What model Acer laptop is it? Could be some kind of FN key screwing things up, it looks like this:

Note, Fn keys are not normally on the shift key but might as well check it and play around with it just in case.

I know you said you tried sticky keys but take a look at "All Control Panel Items\Ease of Access Center\Set up Sticky Keys" and make sure it is off. (That is for Win 8.1, you might find it for your OS somewhere else)

moved to troubleshooting

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
