Game wont run

A game (Agarest) wont run on a friends PC, I live an hour drive away so I cant personally troubleshoot it. It does run however when he tries to start a new game, the game just crashes and shows this. I've read some forums on steam regarding this problem. I still don't know what to do. Thanks for your time!

How new/old is the PC seems like a graphics card driver issue maybe with drivers. Could also be that his computer doesnt meet the requirements for the game

Im starting to wonder if he may be even running off of integrated

Im also guessing that the part of the error that says DXFAIL represents Direct X Fail

Yes, that is most likely what it means.

Update the drivers for his video card and update DirectX. And also run Steam's file integrity check on the game for good measure.

Sorry for the delay, He has an EVGA Gtx 960. I'm pretty sure it is running on the GPU. I'll tell him to update his drivers. His other games do run, but i have no idea why this game wont.

I built his PC a few weeks back and did, download the latest drivers for the GPU. However, not DirectX, as I thought they were the same

We did what was asked, but still not successful  Steam says all the files were sucessfuly validated
