DAC and Headphone Amp at the same time?

Chris6030

Hi guys!

So I have a pair of DT 770 Pro 250 ohm, but I don't find them to be loud enough. I'm using an external soundcard for my desktop build (Roland Quad-Capture 24 bit 192 kHz), and I was wondering if I could use a headphone amp at the same time? So the jackstick would go from the Headphone out, into a headphone amp (i was thinking something like a Fiio E12), and then out to the headphones?

I'm not sure if it would increase the noise floor, or amp the signal too much.

Thanks in advance! :)

I've looked at the o2, but I also wanted something a little bit more portable for my phone. Thanks for the quick answer!

I think the E12 would be much better for him if he is not really going to be using the DAC too much wouldn't it?

pretty sure you can't use the output whilst charging - or that might just be the E11?

Can't remember if it's the E11 or the E12 or both, but when you're charging it you can't use the amp.

The E11 can't be used but the E12 can. I would expect that for $130 though.
