So before building this PC, I watched ALOT of videos, and most of the ones built ran around 70-80s on a full load from what I could tell, but mine never gets close to that. I have been useing core temp and EVGA Precision X to look at my temps.  Around idle the CPU is from 25-30, and 57 has been the max(Playing Rome Total War 2). For the GPU around 54 is the highest I have running 3Dmark 11.

The CPU is 3570k @ 4.0 ghtz around 1.15v

GPU is EVGA GTX 760 at 1072mhtz.

I know this isn't a bad thing ( maybe not worth a thread), but it makes me wonder if my programs telling my the tempatures could be off, or I am not getting the most out of my compnents? Then again when I put my hand near one of the out fans it is barely warm. I was told not to buy the NZXT H2 just because it has issues cooling parts.

The CPU temps do make sense, unless you start approaching 1.3 and up your CPU should stay pretty cool I believe.

The GPU is interesting, though.  Are you running 3DMark on Performance of Extreme?

that's a good thing... ummm what is the usage at?

I didn't check it, I guess that would tell me if the CPU is being capped, would Percision X tell me the GPU usage

Anything liquid cooled?

Try Heaven benchmark.. It will push any system.

Corsair H55 "Silent" I plan on swapping the fan on it

and Ill give it a go tomorrow.

Perferomance, it was around a lower 8000 score, 8079 IIRC

Your doing 4.0ghz and thats decent, but not as hard pushing as review sites which push past that (enabling higher temps)

Plus the heat at 4.0ghz may be nothing compared to the heat coming out of 4.5ghz, let alone 4.6-5.0ghz

The ability of your cooling, the amount of additional voltage...

Once you get past 4.5ghz, there can be a point where it hits a wall without extra voltage...

Sometimes, 4.6ghz is one step up, 4.7ghz might be one step of voltage further, however 4.8ghz may need additional 4 steps of voltage increases...

This is where a lot of extra heat comes in, and as always, silicon lottery states results will always vary.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
