It's come time to upgrade my graphics card. I'm currently running a GTX 760 3GB, which runs pretty much everything I play at 1080p 60 FPS on medium-ish settings. I play mostly multiplayer games, no AAA titles really. he problem is that the card has a really crap OEM cooler on it as it came from a pre-built, meaning it runs REALLY hot and loud. Like, the fan is at about 1000 RPM idle, up to like 3500 under full load, and the card still hits almost 90C even so. Looking to probably go with a GTX 960, 970 or 1070. The 1070 would have way more power than I need and be more expensive, but allow me to play super high end titles no problem in the future. However, I'm thinking that I might just get a 960 or 970 because those will still have enough power for me and be cheaper. Thoughts?

If you're not looking at AAA titles, there really is no reason to spend a whole lot of money on something like a 1070. Something 950-970 ish would probably be good for multiplayer games. Or if you invest in a higher card, if you decide to play AAA titles someday, you would be set.

That's what I'm thinking too, I might play some higher end games in the future but since I really don't want to spend more than like $350, I'll probably go with a 960 or 970. Thanks!

I have a 970 and can still play games like gta v and fallout 4 around 60 frames so i think it will be a good investment!
