Hi

I have decided to build my own pc, and I don't really know anything about it.

I've choosen some parts, and would like to hear what you guys think.

There should be pictures of the parts i've choosen, i still need a videocard Price about 500-550 USD. It need to run at 1080p no problems, and would be awesome if it could 4k

games:(rust, ARK, The Black Death, csgo, fallout, farcry3, assassins creed, Saints row, GTA V.)

i hope some one out there Can help me, choosing a videocard and hopefully confirm that all the parts fit togethere

i like the white and black theme and I've looked at "Gigabyte GI 980 TI" but it's a little too expensive

Motherboard:

  • MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING

Welcome, as some advice, you don't need to post stock images of all of the components most of us know what they look like. :)

That PSU and RAM is probably overkill for you.  I'd snag a 1080 tomorrow when it launches.  And don't buy from whatever place posted these pictures with the rainbow text... way too sketchy

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

$500 USD is more than enough for a 1080p graphics card. I personally got an R9 390, but you could get something better and be prepared for 4k. Otherwise, you can lower the budget a little and add that $200 to something else.

Thy hath sinneth, and in thy life thou hast fallen to an unholy, unspeakable level of humanity. Thou hast given into your basest needs. And suffered many years under thine Satan-box. However, if thine be willing, as thy hast show yourself to be, thy can ascendeth into thy glorious fold of the glorious church. Go well, my brother, may your temps be low and your frames high. ~ MrDynamicMan

My card, an XFX R9 390 Double Dissipation, should be good for 1080p and, I believe, even 1440p in the future.

a 600 W for sure is enough.  Even a good 500 W would be just fine.  That company is a good one, so I'll let you pick one out.

16 GB of RAM should be just fine for gaming for quite some years.

the GTX 1080 will destroy at that resolution, but you could go for a 1070 when it comes out, or a used 980 Ti, or even a 390 or something like that, but if you want 4K, I'd stick to the top of the line

I actually haven't heard of that one but you can get a feel for the good ones here and here

As for a video card, if you are OK buying used, I would bet the 980 Ti's are going to get real cheap soon if they haven't already.  Other than that, probably a 970 or a 390

This is what I've found

Cooler Master PowerSupply (PSU) B600 V2 600W

MSI GeForce GTX 970T OC - 4GB GDDR5

is that good enough ?

a 970 will do just fine but make sure you don't over pay for it - the 1080 is coming out tomorrow and the 1070 within a month or so, and keep in mind the 1080 is supposed to be $600 or $700 depending on the version, and the 1070 is supposed to be $380 or $450, so if you are seeing 970s anywhere close to that, that's too much.

What did the 850 W evga you picked out cost compared to this one?  Because if it's an OK price just get that... I was just saying if you can find one much cheaper that is also good, it would be a good way to save some money.

The evga was $190 this on is $65

And the videocard is $400 so I guess I'll wait for the 1070 ?
