Cheers for the help guys, I got an 850 Evo in the end. 

Sandisk makes good storage devices.
The X400 for 61, found on that page, has better write speeds and high iops. 
Edit: Oh, but that is currently sold out.

One of the best thing to look at when deciding what to purchase is the 4k IOPs.
That's a measure for performance when the drive has to jump around and piece together data that isn't sequential, sequentail read/writes being rated by what you see as normally advertised for SSD speeds: 540mbs read/write.
Just avoid the Kingston V300 series SSD's.
