Best video converting software?

Hi,

 

I've currently been having alot of problems with converting with handbrake and compressing audio.

 

I've tried the recommend aac to get the file size down but it still cracks and is really bad static.

 

I've looked at other coverted videos audio bit rate from google play and their audio doesnt crack at a bitrate of 128.

 

So my question is there a way to solve the issue with the audio In handbrake? Or should I look into other software.
