Windows 10 install // HDD recognize

Hello currently i am at ''Where do you want to install Windows'' part, but for some reason it only recognize my SSD. 

On BIOS and Boot menu it was recognized, but here. 

 

 

Any suggestions? I have WD BLUE 1TB 7200rpm and Samsung 850EVO 500GB

As you can see it is recognized in BIOS same for Boot menu. 

Its not recognized in first picture. ''Where do you want to install Windows''

If you put windows on the ssd it should find the hard drive when it loads into the desktop.

So pretty much what you saying is that it doesnt matter if it shows or not there?

Since it an os from the last decade and sata controller from this one, I'm guessing you don't have the correct drivers. (Edit: I misread it was 7) 

Just install it on the SSD and see if it pop back up after you get the drivers in. You don't want the HDD to be plugged in at that point anyway or you'll risk the boot sector winding up in there. What's worse than having to spin up the HDD in order to be able to foot from an M.2 SSD?

well not unless you want windows on your hard drive instead of your ssd for some reason.

There is only my SSD now 500GB, HDD is not there what you mean?

I mean unless you want to put your os on the hard drive it really doesn't matter if it shows up in the instal section or not.

Ya but SSD shows and i can install it on it right now. 

HDD is not there. How its going on HDD if i install it on SSD? 

 

I am too dumb at the moment or you miss understand something.

Just install windows on your ssd, the hard drive should show up in windows later once windows is installed on the ssd.

Ok do i need to unplug HDD now to not fuck up something and after i install windows on SSD plug it back?

no, it should be fine to leave it hooked up. but you can unplug it just to be sure if you're worried about it.

Ok i will install now, but you sure my HDD will be there after i install?

It should be, but this is a web forum. I can't really guarantee you something as I am a random guy on the internet.

If its not there for some reason do i need to reinstall windows? 

Or need to look somewhere around to find it and put it on its place

it might need a drive letter assigned in the disk manager. Otherwise it should just show up if it's reading in your bios.

You need to install your SATA controller drivers.

Simply insert your motherboard disk, or a USB flash drive with the latest SATA controller drivers your HDD is connected to, and click on "Load Driver" link on the page you are, and select the drive/folder of the driver, and the drivers will be installed.

 

Note: The drivers must be the extracted ones (must have a bunch of files, with an .inf file inside). If it is only an .exe file or a .zip file it will not help you, as Windows is not installed to be able to execute exe's, let alone use its built-in extractor tool for the .zip file.

 

You can remove your Windows setup disk or USB drive at this stage, but, insert it back after you loaded the drivers.
