Found a IPhone need help

Today when i was going to school i found a IPhone 6(i think not sure is it is6 or 6s) and i turned it off so it doesn't ring in school, now im home and turned it on and it has no signal or anything, and it has a passcode and I'm trying to reach the owner but can't unlock it and can't do anything, any advice?

Open up siri and say "call mom"/Call "dad"/Wife/husband  brother/sister etc. 
see if they have a contact with mom in it.

(you don't need passcode to call and text with siri)

 

Could try an apple store, and they could look up the serial

I'd just leave it at your local police building. They should be able to handle the rest

Take it to a moible carrier, they can read the sim card to see who it belongs to

It dosen't have signal,can't call anyone and cant acces the internet,since its locked the sim and mobile data so no acces to it

Does it show the carrier name on the top of the screen (next to the signal strength)? If so take it to that carrier and they can contact the owner.

 

if not, take it to the police or leave it on and hope they use FindMyiPhone to track it down, although I believe it needs data for it.

What personal phone do you have? you may be able to insert the sim card in your phone and find the phone # and possibly contacts. Siri is a better option but it wont work with out service.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo,I will probobly try it

You won't be able to put the sim in, the iPhone uses nano sim, your phone will not take it. If you have a freind with a really new phone (nexus 6p/5x/galaxy s6/7/htc one m9/htc 10) you could ask them for help.

You can't as when you reset it using iTunes or any other method it requires you to enter in the Apple ID and the password... Twice. 

 

Try to reset the iPhone, find the Apple ID, email to them about the iPhone. 

 

Also if there's a "s" badge on the back of the phone it's a iPhone 6s

if it's huge it's a 6/6s plus
