Can someone help me

Go to solution Solved by 2FA,

Trust me, I built my first rig when I was 16/17 and I made some pretty bad decisions when it came to maximizing performance per dollar. I'm 19 now and have since learned a lot and have corrected those mistakes I made.

What are you using this PC for? I could come up with a list that performs MUCH better.

This ends up being roughly the same price as your build above with a PSU, this will also outperform your build above by several times.

I would consider trying them again. It's sad to say but they are miles ahead of AMD's currently available CPUs. The difference could be quite substantial in a lot of games, especially ones are that heavy on the CPU.

Ok thx but I also saw a case for $40 and it wasn't on the website.

Cases are typically long term and Raidmax is known their cheap/crap quality. I would recommend looking at cases from Corsair, NZXT, Fractal Design, and Cooler Master.

The 1070 will be $380 plus, read the entire thread I recommended other cases I just used that as a place holder, he never said only Amazon. I really must recommend not buying $50 dollar motherboards. There is cheap and then there is too cheap. As for the PSU, it gold rated and fully modular which you can't find much cheaper than that.

I was trying to balance performance with looking halfway decent.

Please tell me why a $50 motherboard won't work?  What is the difference to this user?  What will happen to the PC with a $50 motherboard?

His list is set to Amazon links.  This is just basic observation.

The PSU may be gold rated and fully modular and still be poorly built with low quality parts... Proof, the NEX line from EVGA.  FSP makes some good PSUs, but the NEX line is not one of them.  Try the GQ line, or better yet go Seasonic or Superflower (G2/B2/GS, etc...).  This is a better PSU:  http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=97531&vpn=110-B2-0750-VR&manufacture=eVGA&promoid=1636

As far as waiting to see the 1070, why not wait and maybe he will have extra cash by then.  Can't hurt to wait.

This leaves him $350-$400 for a GPU:
