hey guys

a friend of mine use a macbook pro from 2011 till now

OS: OS X el capitan 10.11.5

last night her keyboard suddenly not working, so she restarted it and its working again, what could that possible mean? also she only uses applications such as Words

speaking of Words, her Words app does crash occasionally

also another question, does the macbook needs reformatting? and if otherwise would anybody give any alternate methods for performance

i'm not a mac user see, so i don't really know anything about it

really appreciate the help

Restarting to get a keyboard working again is nothing worrying unless it's becoming a consistent thing. Have your friend tried reinstalling Microsoft Word? Which version of Word are they using?

Apple as far as I know does not pre-load the Microsoft Office Suite in their products. They only pre-load the iWork suite at most.

Double check just in case. Microsoft Office might be installed by the store your friend bought the computer from. But I doubt it was pre-loaded by Apple when it left the factory.
