I would wait untill the new AMD's get send out.

I agree but if you have to choose now I'd go with the 7970. They have very similar GPU performance but the 3GB memory on the AMD card will help at higher resolutions and it's the cheaper of the two.

I suggest 7970. It's a better card IMHO.

 

What prices are you looking at?
