Vegas and Quicktime

I used Vegas Pro 13 as my main video editor however after recently reading articles about quicktime no longer supported on windwos, i uninstalled Quick time and know every time i start vegas and try to import media, this happens

 

so what should i do?

reinstall quicktime or switch video editing software or what?

Quicktime still works fine on Windows. (Although it's pretty dated software).

But Apple decided to stop with updates. 

 

If you're not comfortable with a reinstall of quicktime, chech your Vegas updates. Maybe they launched a update to let Vegas work without quicktime.

just keep quicktime installed for now, eventually the editing software will be updated to get past the issue

Vegas still runs without it? You aren't using quicktime for your videos presumably so if it still runs then its just an annoying popup that Vegas needs to fix. Quicktime is compromised, you should not install it period end of discussion. If vegas no longer works then its time to scream at Sony support and get them to fix it asap.

They're probably working on it.

But it doesn't do any harm if you install quicktime until the update.

If he looks for help at Sony's, that's his choice.
