Is this a good PSU ? (500W) http://www.enermax.co.uk/power-supplies/maxpro/

I'll be using the r9 480 or the GTX 1060 when they come out.

Enermax MaxPro 500 = Corsair VS 550 = CWT GPM

It's an entry level, group-regulated PSU. I would suggest getting the new Corsair CX450M instead, as not only it is cheaper, it is based on a superior design: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP-9020101-UK-CX450M-Semi-Modular-Bronze/dp/B01C3FFOHS/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1463774709&sr=1-1&keywords=corsair+cx450m

Do you think the 450W will suffice ? If so, thank you ! I'm also hyped for AMD ZEN processors for my next build.

If the CX450M doesn't suffice, then the MaxPro 500w wouldn't either, as the MaxPro only has a <1A advantage on the 12V rail. Not to mentioned that since the CXM is DC-DC regulated, it would offer vastly superior voltage stability.

But yes, the CX450M should be plenty. You could also get the CX550M for the same price point as the MaxPro. Btw, just in case, I don't suggest getting the CX430/500/600 model as they are based on a lowered-end design.

Here's a DC power draw of an referenced GTX 1080 by itself (doesn't include the power draw of the other components).

Under 190wDC during Furmark, so the CX450M would be plenty for that as well.

Worse warranty, worse fan.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

The new CXM has a 5 year warranty, whereas the MaxPro has a 3 year warranty. Is support in the EU bad for Corsair? Or is it an issue with the terms of the warranty?

And yes, the Enermax does has a superior Twister bearing fan, but the CXM is also DC-DC regulated for better electrical performance, offer modularity, full black cables, and better efficiency.
