Problem With UHD at 60hz on MG24UQ

I just finished my shiny new build and got a brand new UHD Asus MG24UQ to go with it. Unfortunately, I can't run it at 60hz, at least over HDMI 2.0 (I haven't tried DisplayPort yet.)

When trying to run the display through the HDMI 2.0 port on my motherboard at anything above 30hz at 2160p, the screen will intermittently drop out. This includes the OSD. It happens about every 10 seconds at 60hz and about once a minute at 50hz. I tried it with a Vizio 4K TV and it doesn't drop out on it. I've also experienced dropouts at 1440p at 1080p at 60hz, but this is inconsistent and less frequent. When using my MacBook with it at 1080p and 60hz, I have never experienced a dropout, even immediately after swapping the cable from my PC while it's dropping out at 60hz. This contradicts my initial reaction that it is an issue with the monitor. I've tried multiple cables of varying quality, all of which give the same result. I don't have another HDMI 2.0 capable device with which to test. But all of the HDMI 1.4 devices I've tried with it are not dropping out at 60hz. Bizarre.

Has anyone else ever had a similar issue? All of my motherboard and Intel 530 drivers are up to date. I'm unsure where to go from here with regards to troubleshooting, so any help is appreciated. I want to make sure it's not the monitor before I send go through the dreaded RMA process.

Motherboard: Gigabyte z170x-UD5-TH CPU: 6700k Power Supply: EVGA 650 GS Video Card: None as of yet, using integrated graphics. RAM: Crucial Ballistix Monitor: ASUS MG24UQ

I'm pretty sure that the HD 530 doesn't support 4k at 60Hz without using a DisplayPort converter, at least that is what this says.

Yup, just checked the Intel Ark for the 6700K and it doesn't support HDMI 2.0 on the iGPU.

If I'm not mistaken the HDMI 2.0 port on my board (Z170X UD5-TH) is actually a DisplayPort receiver with a HDMI 2.0 transmitter built into it (the MegaChips MCDP28) so that shouldn't be the problem.

I was going to suggest trying DP but then I remember Gigabyte is stupid and doesn't have DisplayPort on their motherboards. If you have any other devices that can output HDMI, I would suggest hooking it up to the monitor to see what happens.
