Hello all!

Relevant specs:

Samsung EVO 850 SSD 250Gb

Windows 10 64bit

I have this peculiar problem where something keeps eating space on my SSD. Not sure if this has happened before, but only noticed it yesterday. Its not a lot, I have lost about 1Gb in last 12 hours or so. It seems to disappear in chunks of 100/200mb, well 100mb being the smallest amount my computer page shows for drives. I downloaded WinDirStat, but this has proven little help. Maybe i'm not using the program right, but only way I see is to manually monitor files. With some google search I some people suggested checking hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys , but the size of these files has not changed. Also the AppData\Local\Temp folder size does not change.

Checking the resource monitor, seems like following things are writing:

eV8xm8g.png

I deleted about 400mb of google Chrome cache, but that's under 50% of the space that got used in last 12h, also I cannot be sure that  Chrome is the culprit.

Is this normal? Should I worry? When should I worry? Is there a way I can better track whats eating up that space?

Thanks in advance!

Run disccleanup and then after its done click on cleanup system files, see if you have previous windows or anything there, win 10 usually backs up everything when it updates so you have lots of space wasted there, delete it at your own risk tho as if you need to restore system you wont be able to. I personally delete all of that.
