I'm getting tearing on PG279Q with G-sync enabled???

DELTAprime

I got a PG279Q yesterday (I got lucky and it has extremely little backlight bleed). This is my first G-sync monitor and I noticed tonight when I was playing Diablo 3 that with G-sync enabled I still got a ton of tearing and I had to enable V-sync to stop tearing. What's going on here? Is G-sync something devs have got to enable or are there some bugs that prevent it from working on all games?

So the main thing is in your Control panel to make sure its gsync with vsync on.

Then in the game use vsync off.

But here is the thing, gsync doesn't work with Diablo III and its disabled in the profile. Its rare for this to happen with games but Diablo III is very weirdly written. This is the reason you are seeing tearing.

Ok thanks, that explains everything.
