Hey guys,

 

So i'm looking to build a new rig and i would like some help. I need it to be able to support high intensity After Effects and Editing work as well as Pro Tools and gaming of course

 

Ideally i'd like there to be no rendering lag when using after effects and it's all just a smooth experience. Any help would be appreciated and let's pretend that money doesn't matter right now. What would you suggest if you were going to build a best of the best computer rig? Thanks for the help.

For rendering, an i7 5xxxk with 16-32gb of ram new, or dual e5 2670 with a dual socket mobo if buying used. If gaming, either gtx 980ti sli if you must have it now or gtx 1080 if you can wait 2-3weeks.

Australia and about 5k i guess. I want a really good computer that's going to last a long time and still be able to handle everything i need it to do.

If you aren't gaming throw in a workstation GPU of some kind

 

but you don't really need to spend anywhere near 5K, spend the rest on a 40" 4K display or something

If you wanted to try running most games at 4k, you're going to want a 1080 when it launches, but wait for the 3rd party ones anyways, they'll have better cooling set ups

 

You could also probably go for a nicer case than the one here
