Doesn't post anymore.

Hi.

After overclocking 2500K from 4.7 to 4.8 doesn't post anymore.

I tried clear cmos and removing battery from motherboard but without changes.

On video can see red light (DrMos alarm) blinks at the start up. I can't remember if that is normal or not.

 

My rig:

2500k @ 4.7 GHz

Asus 560ti @950 MHz

Patriot Viper 3 8gb @ 1600MHz

MSI Z77A-GD55

Samsung 840 evo 120gb

WD Scorpio Black 500gb

Corsair GS600 600W

Fractal Design R3

 

Is the cpu dead or other component?

I hope it's just wierd glitch.

Yeah I know that but I can't remember if that's normal when it blinks once at the start up

Call up MSI support, they'll probably be able to better help.

 

I really doubt you killed either the CPU or MB, it might just be a badly corrupt BIOS or something.

Just swaped psu and ram and nothing.

So it's CPU or MB/BIOS fault.

 

P.S. Why I saved couple bucks and bought GD55 not GD65 which has LED post readout and dual BIOS? Why?
