Oh Crap (MOBO Issue)

I have a MSI 970 Gaming AM3+ motherboard, and today I noticed something on it. I am building a test bench in wood shop so I had to take it in for mounting hole placement measurements. I noticed there is a thingie (don't know the name, it is a silver rectangle with a amber-ish orange square in the middle) next to the top-right fan header (sorry I can't provide a picture. I will have one up as soon as I can.) In pictures I find it is perfectly vertical, but in mine the bottom part is towards the fan header. It looks bent out of place but I don't know how it happened or when it happened. Please help, don't want to kill a motherboard (and maybe a CPU+RAM)

Could you at least circle it on an existing picture and upload that?

Its in yellow. When Im done at school I can get you a picture

My best bet is just leaving it, if it has no impact on what you're doing just leave the pin alone. 

 

Or you could do a stress test and leave it for about 5-10 mins, if you get a BSOD it maybe a real problem but if not, leave it man

Well my best bet is just to leave it if you do not want to stress it  its fine man you wont kill it.

Ok. Good or bad idea to run it without my CPU? (The fans will starts and stuff just to see if It shorting anything)

That is definitely bent. I'm not sure if it will affect the MOBO's operation.

 

You might want to contact MSI and possibly RMA the board.

does that fan header function? looks like a fuse for that header..
