Word freezes

Where is Word located and where is document being saved/located? It sound more like issue with HDD/USB stick. Check your auto-save settings too. You might have it setup so that it saves too often. Everytime bigger files are being saved, it makes short freeze to prevent data corruption. Slower to drive you save it to, bigger the freeze time.

i use office online or what ever its called and it saves it to my 240gb kingston SSD.. it might be because it saves but it shouldnt freeze.. it also chrashed 1 time..
