Upgrade options?

Well I've got about 300$ CAN sitting around, been holding for a few months, and it's now time to think what I'll be getting myself I,m thinking I should either get a new monitor, which I want to have freesync, if possible 144hz 1920X1080 definition, or more, for Under 500$ CAN, or I get myself a sexy mech keyboard for Under 220$ CAN and money that's left I spend on cable mods. I'm guessing gaming wise since I,ll be switching from a 1680X1050 resolution getting that new screen is going to be quite the improvement, right?

 

By the way guys, do you still think it's Worth it to get a freesync monitor?
