System Idle process..? CPU usage 99%?

It is using up all my cycles. My laptop heats up, The fan starts going crazy and everything starts to slow down and crash.

It happens from time to time mostly after 4/5 hours of normal usage.

The process is not doing anything. I keep telling you that. It is simply a placeholder for how much idling is occuring.

You sure all your RAM wasn't being consumed?

I'm fairly sure my RAM wasn't, as it didn't show up as being used up.

Ram usage mostly is around 30/40% when editing photos mostly around 70/80% but that doesn't happen very often.

Does anyone even use PCIe SSDs?

The overheating problem is not correlated with your CPU usage.  Yes higher CPU usage can overheat a laptop, but so can a poorly ventilated laptop sitting at idle.  Go to town with a duster and/or vacuum.  If you have the know-how and it's not a Sony, open it up to clean it up for best results.
