I had Windows crash on my desktop a few days ago so I took the SSD out and cleaned it with diskpart in my laptop. Then I out it back in my system, plugged in my external optical drive and loaded in Windows 7 Pro. I then went into the bios and set it to boot from CD drive and it recognized the drive. Then this showed up:image.jpeg

I tried ls to to see where I was but it wouldn't show me the directory.

Sounds like you need to do a clean install of Windows.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I'm bit confused which part is the problem here? SSD with ("cleaned") win7 (I assume) or DVD with Win7 installer? I think you jumped the gun with cleaning SSD with another system. There are tools to repair Windows within systems its in and most of the time those are enough. As for installer DVD, is it original or burned copy and have you used it before with success?

Do you get that screen after you have pressed any key to boot into DVD or before that?

I didn't press any key

Do you even get that screen? When you said CD drive, you meant DVD drive, right? Win7 install media is DVD.

that is windows power shell. try googling commands for windows power shell

It's not. It's UEFI shell. (Most) Motherboards with a UEFI bios offer this shell - which is part of the UEFI specification ( http://www.uefi.org/sites/default/files/resources/UEFI_Shell_Spec_2_0.pdf ). The UEFI shell is a boot option that can be selected among the boot devices in the bios boot order settings. Reaching the shell  probably means booting from the devices set in the bios boot order failed until UEFI shell was reached.

That is literally what I said I was doing.

Well the picture you posted has NOTHING to do with a clean install of Windows.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
