Hi,

I made a post similar to this one a while ago but have still not decided on a mouse. The reason for that is I had played a bit with my brother's Mamba and I loved the way it felt. But at the same time, I want to get the MX Master because of its quality and how it looks better for productivity. While I do play FPSs, I do a lot of graphic design, some animations, and a lot of web surfing. My priority is productivity but it has to be at least decent for gaming. My main question is: To what extent can the MX Master be used for gaming? Because my brother can get a lightly-used one for about $50USD.

Also, what is the difference between the 'tournament edition' and the regular one? I would have thought that the tournament edition would be more expensive but it is not.

Thanks!

Don't get the MX Master for gaming. It's not a very game friendly mouse. I have one, and I find myself switching over to my Level10 every time I start up a game.

You COULD go for a G900, really nice mouse. The TE Mamba is not wireless.

I would, just seems a tad too expensive and hardcore for my needs. Im limited to around $75 for a mouse. Think I will go for the razor chroma

Probably no more than 2 hours, but I am tempted by the Mamba. I just think that the MX Master will be terrible for gaming, but the Mamba will also not be able to compare to productivity work against the MX Master. But the Mamba won't be bad at productivity. So I think I'll get the Mamba for now and later get the MX Master

i just got the mx master, arrived about 10 minutes ago and is now set up working with 3 systems. switchable profile makes using on multiple machines effortless. the scroll wheel is amazing, and overall quality is incredible. think my g600 is resigned to gaming now

But you wouldn't use the MX Master for gaming at all?

i haven't actually tried it yet, i think it would be great for casual stuff.

gestures and customisation are really really good, and its incredibly comfortable. i have a dodgy thumb which hurts a lot from using phones/mice/controllers but I've had no pain using this mx master

I'm the only person in the entire tired to mention the comfort of the mx you tool. referring to my own personal experience where it alleviates some pain i get in my mouse hand.
