My Sapphire R7 250X underclocks itself to about half  the value of the memory and core clocks. My temps are fine, standing at around 30-35C on idle considering I am living in a hot place and my room isn't that ventilated but my PC has good cooling,it runs at around 67C max when running Heaven benchmark at ultra 1080p. I have a Gigabyte H55M USB3 Motherboard with an i5 750 CPU, I have no overclocks on the system.. a friend suggested that it might be undervoltage in the PCI Express 6 pin connector but I tested it with a multimeter and all the connections are giving out 12.01 Volts. I already reinstalled the drivers and reset driver software factory settings. The card does return to normal clocks though after I open the driver software and reset the clocks for some reason.. Does anyone know the solution to this problem ? Thanks in advance

The only other PCI-e slot I have is a PCI-e 2.0 1x slot, should I still try it ?

probably not, I would try a fresh os install and see if that solves it. Other wise I'm not sure why it would keep doing that.

Are there any other solutions ? I am in the middle of a lot of stuff and I can't really reinstall OS and all the programs again..

Well you could try some sort of overclocking utility to bring it up to the correct speed, also have you checked in the case to make sure the gpu's not clogged up with dust?

You said you've reinstalled the drivers.
Have you tried an older version and not using the current?

I did clean it a while back when this problem first popped up and even changed the thermal compound.

Well, I would try to live with it until you can trouble shoot it farther, i.e. different mobo, fresh os install etc...

Actually thanks to DioOmicida, I was able to fix it, he got the idea of other overclocking software which reminded me that I had Gigabyte Easytune 6 which is the Gigabyte tuning software.. it suddenly went nuts and changed the clocks on it's own so I reverted them to default and it doesn't change anymore.. thanks to both of you so much for replying xD
