Bluetooth Weirdness

So I bought one of these... things http://www.amazon.com/Craig-Electronics-CR4190-Bluetooth-Technology/dp/B00LJY6WRQ

 

Ugly and horrible piece of shit. Good thing it was 3$ at a thrift store (nonworking)

 

Anyway I am making a bluetooth/FM guitar amp thing, and I am having issues with the bluetooth. Sometimes it stutters and then plays back the stuttered audio really quickly, and other times it plays back audio at a lower pitch! Bluetooth issue with my nexus 5 and 7, or just shitty bluetooth reciever in general?
