DVD drive not ejecting

Greetings.

 

I have an old (2004 TEAC Corporation, Japan) DVD RW/R Compact Disc Drive that is playing normally a CD that I have inside it, BUT it does not eject when I press the button. It tries to eject but seems like something is preventing it or something. Any help on how to fix this? Thanks.

Hey, find a very small pin of some sort, eg; hair pin or something. then look on the front of the CD drive and there should be a tiny hole near the tray opening hole, push the pin that you gathered into the hole until either the tray ejects or a satisfying clunk happens and then you just pull it out.

Hmmm I pushed the pin, it felt like pushing something back but then nothing. Note that I don't have it on the PC at the moment, I am in the process of transferring it to my new PC. Does that matter? Sorry for the newbie question xD

That shouldn't matter that it isn't in a PC. It should have just popped open. Can you try and pry it open with your finger nails or similar things.
