So I have an art piece that I really need to work on and finish, but I'm just really lacking the motivation to do it. The thing is, it has to be done by the end of this week, as my teacher needs to matte it and send it off to the show to be judged. I don't have that much done on it (although it is still a fair amount, just not what it's supposed to be already) but I told my teacher last Friday that I'd try to have it done by Monday, as I could sit down for 5 or 6 hours and really work on it, and at least get close to being finished. Well shit came up, I ended up having to take a road trip on Saturday and Mother's Day was today, so I've only worked on it for about an hour this entire weekend, and not much progress has been made.

My teacher is extremely lenient but I don't want to give the same excuse I constantly give of 'I've been working on it at home, I just forgot to bring it in today'. Any ideas? I can work on it more tomorrow as I know I will have time then but I don't want to bring it in tomorrow and not have anything done.

The piece is a ~11x16" Prismacolor (which is colored pencil), and it's a picture of my lil' doggo for a Dog Art Show. I told her on Friday that I had most of her face done, and right now I'm at that point still, as I've not worked on it this weekend.
