I am trying to convert a .avi file to a .mp4 file with handbrake and I know it works because I have converted .avi to .mp4 before. But I keep getting this error:  you must first scan a source and set up your job before starting an encode.

I have looked on the internet and some of the solutions people said they worked but they were very unclear. Oh yeah, I'm running Handbrake 0.10.5.0
