Hi guys,

 

Just a lurker with a problem.

 

I have the Asus 980Ti Strix and playing some games the card gets very hyperactive and loud (dangerously hot as well). The cards weight also makes it sag quite a lot towards the rear of the card. I kind of regret not getting a hybrid / water cooled card however while doing some lurking around I found these 2:

Instead of buying a new GPU I want to remove the stock cooler on the Asus 980Ti and use one of those. This is where my problem comes, I'm not sure if I can use these Hybrid water coolers on a Asus 980ti Strix or does it have to be a reference card? Secondly how would a noob like myself fair in installing one of these?
