Disable peripheral when gaming?

So I have a roller mouse I use whenever I am not gaming and it acts as a wist rest when I am, the thing is that I dont want the roller to be active while I am gaming, kinda like how you can tie profiles to settings on a mouse, sadly the contour drivers does not allow that, can I do it in some third party way?

Mine has a problem of rolling on its own. I too wish to know a solution. It killed me a couple time in rainbow six and overwatch the other night.
