cmos CMOS causing boot issue

I have an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard and when i went to go to boot the machine it started up then immediately shut down. Now it wont boot and the postcode is reading as 4F which according to the manual is caused by 'DXE IPL is started'. After some googling it seems this is caused by a CMOS problem. My motherboard has a 'Clear CMOS' button. I tried this when powered on and when powered off and I still got the 4F code. I then tried removing the CMOS battery, waited 30 seconds, replaced it, tried to boot and im still getting the code. At this point I am at a loss. Any ideas? I read in another thread on another site that this could be caused by a corrupted bios.

Specs: ASrock Z77 Extreme 4 mobo, I5-3450 cpu, Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB gpu, Coolmax ZU-800B psu, and elipta ram from an old HP desptop

Make sure it's unplugged from the wall and that the PSU is turned off as well and remove the CMOS battery for an hour then reverse the process. I've had it happen where removing it for 30 seconds wasn't enough to fully clear it.

 

Are you able to get it into the BIOS at all? If so please set everything back to default if you have anything over clocked.

Its never been overclocked, though Im not able to get any display output. Ive tried different monitors and with and without my GPU plugged in. Ill give it an hour with the battery out now.

No luck in letting it sit longer

This is about the only other thing I can think to try. If that doesn't work your BIOS got messed up somehow, were you doing anything before this happened that may have caused it?

Tried the jumper with no luck. Nothing has been changed on it for a long time. I got back from my university last night and it worked fine but when i went to boot it up this morning, this was happening
