Hí to all.

I have al little Problem with my new Laptop that I got yesterday.

It`s a XMG U726 With GTX980 and 7600K.

I was running the integrated Benchmark from Intels XTU and it shows the temps rising till a 100C° and thermal throttling on stock configuration.

The included Control Center on the other hand, shows never more then 61C°.

Anyone an Idea what could be the Problem? Or witch reading is accurate?

Thx

It could be that the "included control center", whatever that might be, shows you the TCase temperature instead of the actual core temperature. Max TCase for the i7 6700 would be 71°C.

However, if your CPU is throtteling and a included CPU-test programm, from the CPU manufacturer itself, shows you 100°C, I'd go with the 100°C temperature, though - which is just unacceptable.

You can ofc get Aida64, MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor to check what temps they will show you just to entirely rule out a faulty software read.

@Nord or quote me if you want me to reply back. I don't necessarily check back or subscribe to every topic.

Amdahls law > multicore CPU.
