Im looking to run some fortran code. does anyone have a suggestion on a good free compiler?

Gfortran is the Fortran compiler included in the GNU Compiler Compilation.  I don't know how good it is in terms of performance, but I imagine it's no worse than anything else out there.  Also it's completely free/libre software and should be available on any OS you can pick.  Intel also makes a Fortran compiler (which beats out Gfortran in some number-crunching tasks, per a guy at NASA's blog), but I have no idea if it's free or not.
