So about 7 months ago i built my PC and i used a CX600, its worked perfectly since i got it but recently whilst ive been using my PC ive had a few random restarts and when it then shows an image its brings up the american mega trends thing saying that theres been a power surge. everything i have is plugged in to a surge protected extension lead but is there any other reasons why this could be happening or is my PSU just buggered? Thanks :)

I'd imagine that "Power surge" would be power supply related. It is very possible that the unit is faulty, as the CX lineup has been known to be meh. (Don't take this wrong, they work fine, but are Corsair's lowest line of PSU's) It should be under warranty still, so I'd try contacting Corsair support.

Just contact Corsair and ask for a replacement.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
