I have just bought a sandisk 240 gb ssd and im trying to copy everything over to it from my hdd. I have about 170gb of items on my HDD. I have been trying to use EaseUS todo but it says that it wont work because one has a max storage of 1tb but my SSD only 240. I cant find any guides of it on the internet after searching for about 1 hour. I might be missing looking at a site but I couldnt find anything like this on these forums.

Thanks

you need to make the partition of the hdd smaller. you can do that in the windows partition thingi.

It wont let me go further than 400gb. It says that there isnt enough room to partition it.

then do a clean install of windows om your ssd. it's always a good idea to do that from time to time anyways. then back the important data from your hdd up to the ssd and delete the partition.

One problem, I would like to have my steam library on my SSD. I have only a 7 megabit internet connection so it would be nice if I dont have to re-intall my games on my HDD

thats no problem just copy the steam folder to where it belongs on the ssd and then install steam. steam will recognize them. or you can just start your games from the hdd. you just have to add the folder in the steam settings.
